Exchange 2010 – not able to authenticate when opening Management Console or Shell
you may receive the following error when trying to access EMC or EMS on Exchange 2010:
The attempt to connect using HTTPS protocol “Kerberos” failed: Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The client cannot connect to the destination specified in the request. Verify that the service on the destination is running and is accepting requests. Consult the logs and documentation for the WS-Management service running on the destination, most commonly IIS or WinRM. If the destination is the WinRM service, run the following command on the destination to analyze and configure the WinRM service: “winrm quickconfig”. this can happen if you have AVG 2011 client installed.
open the AVG client, select Resident Shield > Manage Exceptions. add the path to Exchange Management Console to the exceptions list, typically C:Program FilesMicrosoftExchange Server
